Maruti is Maruti Suzuki India Ltd
Maruti Udyog Ltd has rechristened itself as Maruti Suzuki India Ltd with effect from September 17.
The registrar of companies approved the name change, the company informed Bombay Stock Exchange.
The name change coincides with the company’s efforts to reposition itself from being a small car manufacturer to comprehensive car maker leveraging on its parent Suzuki’s international brand, the company said.
Bharti Huawei ink $150 m deal
Bharti Airtel Lanka Private Limited, said it has signed a managed networks deal for its Sri Lanka operations with Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. The three-year deal is valued at approximately US$150 million, the company added.
