Windows mobile is 1 lakh in India Microsoft’s Window mobile (WM), according to Microsoft, has become the fastest growing mobile operating system in the country with a sale of 100,000 units in the first 15 months after its launch in India. This was announced by the company on Tuesday in New Delhi. This performance has been a result of WMs value proposition for consumers to remain connected while on the move and work and play anytime, anywhere, claims the company. WMs offers portfolio of form factors with close to 35 models with prices starting from Rs 11,990 and upwards. Ma Foi’s alliance with e-bilities Ma Foi Management Consultants announced on Tuesday in Chennai that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Australian developer and supplier of online pre-employment screening tests e-bilities Pty Ltd. As per the agreement, e-bilities will make its testing system available to the Ma Foi network of 82 offices and academies across 48 locations in India. e-bilities specialises in testing of general mental ability or “intelligence,” and delivers tests in an online format for large-scale recruitment screening. Shriram gets Rs 5000 cr fund Shriram Properties announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Walton Street Capital and Starwood Capital Group to develop a Rs 5,000 crore ($1.25 billion) integrated township in Kolkata. The township will comprise approximately two core (20 million) sq ft of residential, retail, office and civic infrastructure. Texas Instruments (TI) India announced on Tuesday that it has completed five years since it launched industry first - a single-chip Bluetooth solution (the BRF6100), based on the company’s DRP technology. This delivered a small and affordable solution that accelerated penetration of Bluetooth in wireless phones. In the last five years, TI has launched more than a dozen wireless single-chip solutions, ranging from the single-chip cell phone modem to multi-radio connectivity devices, said a company release. TI’s broad portfolio of DRP technology-based single-chip solutions ranges from cellular to connectivity technologies, including GSM, GPRS, EDGE. TI hopes to ship around 200 million DRP technology chips by end of 2007. Puravankara Projects on Tuesday posted an increase of 43.59 per cent in Profit After Tax (PAT) at Rs 35.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, compared to Rs 24.82 crore for the same quarter last year. Total income of the company increased 27.79 per cent to Rs 120.40 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, from Rs 94.21 crore in the corresponding quarter, last year the company said in Mumbai. Exim Bank’s $5 million LOC Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM) has extended a line of credit (LOC) of $5 million to Nigerian Export Import Bank (Neximbank). This would be used to finance export of capital and engineering goods, industrial manufactures, consumer durables, commodities and services from India to Nigeria, the bank said in Mumbai on Tuesday.
