Mountain craft training camp
DH News Service,Mangalore:

Karkala based Sri Bhuvanendra College in Association with Krithi Adventure Institute in Mangalore is organising a UGC sponsored national-level mountain craft training camp at DK ZP Higher Primary School at Parapede in Mangalore for the youth of the country. The camp will be conducted from September 22 to 26 for 25 young men and 25 young women of the country.

According to a press release, the goal of the camp is to build integrated leaders through adventure training camp. The camp would enable the youth discover their own capabilities by overcoming mental and physical challenges posed by the environmental conditions.

It would give them an experience in adventure and personal hardship to build their self confidence and personalised discipline. It will promote the art of mountain craft through practical experience and actions enabling the participants to build leadership qualities.

The camp would also help mould their character to such fine quality like understanding, tolerance, sense of service, responsibility and dignity of labour and promote integrated living and sacrifice the self for National integration, the press release said.

One young man and one young woman from each college of the age group 18-25 are eligible to participate in the camp provided they are mentally and physically fit.

Certificates will be awarded to each participant on successful completion of the camp.
