The world’s oldest male — recognised by Guinness World Records — Tomoji Tanabe, celebrated his 112th birthday Tuesday at his home in Miyakonojo, reports Kyodo from Miyazaki. “I thank you all,” Tanabe said while replying Miyakonojo Mayor, Makoto Nagamine’s, query of what his impression was of becoming 112 years old.

Britney Spears' likelihood of getting the full custody of her two sons from ex-hubby Kevin Federline has further jeopardised with her former bodyguard accusing her of taking drugs and walking around naked in front of her kids, reports ANI from Washington. Canada honours Indian geologist
A retired Indian geologist who made an internationally renowned discovery in the 1960s in Canada, then gave up his North American career to build a village school in India, has received a rare honour. A 565-million-year-old fossil has been named after him, reports PTI from Toronto.
Canadian government ministers, bureaucrats and scientists attended a in Canada’s Portugal Cove South city where two top geologists announced the new name of one of the many fossils discovered by Dr S B Misra in the late 1960s.
