Shuttle team to train at Infosys
The Karnataka badminton team will train at the Infosys campus in Mysore before heading to Kakinada to take part in the South Zone inter-state championships from September 28 to 30.
Top Indian players like Anup Sridhar, Trupti Murgunde, Aditi Mutatkar and Aparna Balan, who are trainees of the Tata Padukone Badminton Academy, will also train at the campus, according to N C Sudhir, secretary of the Karnataka Badminton Association.
State teams: Men: Amar V, Guruprasad, Mohit Kamat, Vineet Manuel, Arun Vishnu, Ajit Wijetilekk, SDS Krishna, Abhijit Naimpally (reserve). Women: Ruth Misha V, G M Nischitha, Ashwini Ponnappa, Nitya Sosale, Saumya Padhye (reserve). 
Junior boys: Anup Kiran, Aditya R Prakash, Prateek Khurana, Prakash Jolly, Darshan Kulkarni (reserve).  Junior girls: Ruth Misha, Ashwini Ponnappa, Nitya Sosale, Monisha Vinayak, Ankita Ashok (reserve). Coach: M S Nagarjuna. Manager: K R Dayananda.
Taekwondo squad for Natls
Following players will represent the State in the 26th senior National taekwondo championships to be held from September 26 to 28 at the Swarnabharati Indoor stadium, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Team:  Men: Tufan Kumar Poddar (Finweight), John Victor (Fly), Pradeep (Bantam), Kiran Raj O (Feather), Mohammed Imran (Light), T Mohammed Rafi (Welter), K Lohith Kumar (Middle), Harish H M (Heavy). Coach: Ravi V. Manager: Krishna Prasad.
Women: M Anitha (Finweight), Tejaswini (Fly), P Rekha Devi (Bantam), Jyothi M Shirur (Feather), B Varsha (Light), Anjali P Kshatratej (Welter), Pallavi S K (Middle), Apoorva B S (Heavy). Coach: M Sunitha.
Inter-college throwball meet
BNM Educational Institutions will conduct their 28th annual Y Nagesh Rao Manay Memorial inter-college throwball tournament for boys and girls from September 27 to 29 at BSK II Stage Campus.
