‘Serve the nation’
Addressing students during their visit to Infosys campus, Infosys Chief Mentor Narayana Murthy stressed that the objective of corporations should be to serve the nation. There should be an environment of openness and acceptance of new ideas, best practices, values and cultures. Companies must set global benchmarks to continuously grow. “We benchmark Sony, Motorola for their quality practices, GE and Microsoft for their relentlessness and growth,” he said. Corporations must look out for meritocracy, speed in doing things faster, focus on new ideas, excellence and implementation, he added.
