newly elected Zilla Panchayat President Deerghakeshi Shivanna sought the co-operation of all the members to make Kodagu a model district.
She was speaking after being elected as the President. She said “I will take into confidence of all the members.”
Vice-President Rudraiah called upon the members to co-operate irrespective of party ideology for the overall development of the district.
It was for the first time in Kodagu district that both Zilla Panchayat President and Vice-President are women.
