Get wet in style this season
Blackberrys Designing Team

Early onset of monsoon in the city has certainly brought a sigh of relief to many and all. To avoid getting soaked to the skin, replenish your wardrobe with some monsoon-friendly stuff. It’s time your denims give way to cotton pants, capris and knee-length skirts.

The fashion statement this season is comfy and sexy. Calf-length pants and capris with darker tones teamed up with bright and solid colour tops lightens up the mood of a dull day.

Asymmetrical knee length skirts have replaced the long ethnic skirts to reveal a classy chic look. Coupled with haltered or detailed lace tops and a scarf in exotic designs or an elegant piece of neckwear, these trendy skirts signify a perfect evening wear. Greys, mouse, powder blue, cement, black current are ruling colours of the season.

Cottons with floral prints and checks can be another exciting option in this season. Cargos in hues of red rust, light orange and military green is a must have this season to brave everyday rains. Bermudas and shorts are the hot favourites for men. Polyester and Nylon are an absolute no no. Restrict your wardrobe to single layer clothing to make the monsoons more comfortable.

Shirts with self-designs, Dobby, Jacard or Herring Bone are popular with the youth as a perfect choice for corporate wear. These designs can be teamed up with lightweight lycra trousers to define a stylish yet formal look. To add more colour to the rains, you can also pick up a trendy umbrella or a transparent wind-cheater in bright shades of pink, orange, blue and green.

Also make a choice from some brilliantly coloured range of footwear including rubber mules and slippers.
So its time to play with colours, cuts and fabrics. So get wet in style.
