Shah is new INS chief

Mr Bahubali S Shah, Managing Director and Editor, Gujarat Samachar from Ahmedabad was elected president of The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for 2007-08  at its 68th annual general meeting held in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Mr Shah, who has been associated with the INS for the last 15 years, succeeds Mr Hormusji  N Cama of Bombay  Samachar Weekly, Mumbai.

Mr Paresh Nath of Woman’s Era, New Delhi, was elected the Deputy President and Mr T Venkattram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle, the Vice President. Mr Rakesh Sharma of Hindustan Times, Patna, was elected the Honorary Treasurer and Mr Pawan Chopra, the Secretary General of the Society.

The other members of the executive committee elected at the AGM are:
