Girl allowed to stay with parents
Bangalore, DHNS:

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday allowed a girl to stay with her parents, after she refused to have any relationship with a boy, who claimed that he had married her.

During the hearing, Divya Shetty (23) of Manipal said Sandesh (24) of Honnavar was not her husband.

“We are just friends,” the girl added.  Sandesh argued, in a petition, that he had married Divya Shetty in a sub-registrar’s office when they were students and that her parents had forcefully taken her away. When the divisional bench comprising K L Manjunath and Javed Rahim asked her about the documents that she had signed, Divya said she did not know that it was related to marriage.

While allowing the girl to stay with her parents, the bench observed: “This is not the end of the case. It has just begun.”
