Lokayuktas’ conference
The ninth annual conference of Lokayuktas, Upalokayuktas and Lokpals will be held in Bangalore on September 22 and 23. It will be inaugurated by Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan. Law Minister Hansraj Bharadwaj and Opposition Leader N Dharam Singh will be the guest speakers. “It will be presided over by the Chief Minister. The valedictory session will be inaugurated by Home Minister Shivraj Patil and guest speakers will be State Home Minister M P Prakash and opposition leader in the Legislative Council, H K Patil. It will be presided over by Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, said Lokayukta Justice Santosh N Hegde.

Chitraloka.com sets record
A Kannada film portal chitraloka.com has entered the Limca Book of Records for featuring most number of Kannada films. The portal featured 2,650 Kannada films between August 14 and 20. Films which appeared on the website were released between 1934 and 2006. The record will appear in the cinema section of the 2008 edition of Limca Book, said portal editor K M Veeresh.
