Talent contest tomorrow
Tumkur, dhns:
The Public Education department has organised a taluk level talent contest on September 22 at 9 am at Aryan High School on JC Road. The block education officer has directed the head masters to get the students who have bagged the first place at the cluster level competitions. Public Education department deputy director B V Rajashekar will inaugurate the programme. PU Education department deputy director Ramachandra will inaugurate the competitions. DIET president T Balasarswathi will preside, said a release.

Industries Workshop held
Tumkur,dhns:
A workshop on the modernisation of the industries in Tumkur was held recently with the collaboration of the Tumkur district industries centre, Karnataka Tantrika Unnatikarana Parishat and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. 

The workshop organised for the benefit of the present and the future industrialists is a commendable work, said Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar.   The industrial environment in Tumkur is undergoing a lot of changes. As the district is responding in a positive manner to the changes, the industrialists are finding the environment very conducive for establishing industries, he observed.
