The taluk panchayat president and vice president were elected unopposed for second term in th e taluk.
 Maula of Gunjuigunte and Saraswathamma of Bhaktarahalli from Congress have been elected as president and vice president respectively.
Out of the 14 members in taluk panchayat only three are JD (S) members. So there was no fight at all and the candidates were announced as per the directions from the Congress high command.
The congress members who met together under the leadership of High command V Muniyappa promised to obey his orders and finally Maula was named,inspite there being three more aspirants. Finally sub division officer Dr Arundhati announced the results.
