Students of Tarikere First Grade College staged a protest against the shortage of lecturers and lack of basic facilities in the college on Thursday.
They took out a procession and staged protest in front of mini Vidhana Soudha.
Speaking on the occasion, student Smitha said the college has scarcity of lecturers. Authorities have failed to provide facilities like library, sitting room to the students.
Sangeetha Prabhu said “if the authorities fail to heed to our demands within a week, we will intensify our protest.”
Divisional Officer Dr M T Reju received the memorandum and assured to bring the matter to the notice of the concerned officials.
