“If farmers do not follow co-operative farming, then the capitalists will soon invade agriculture and make it a business,” said Deputy Commissioner Ponnuraj addressing a meeting held by District Krishi Samaj at DC’s office.
He said that agriculture is witnessing a set back only due to lack of co-operation between the farmers and hence there is immense need that farmers keep the aspect of co-operation alive so that even agriculture survives. If this does not happen then the farmers will have to inevitably witness the boom of corporate agriculture in the nation.
