Congress wins TP President and Vice President posts

 The Congress candidates have won the taluk panchayat elections held for the second term in Bangarpet.
Shankarappa has been elected as the President of Taluk Panchayat and Sumithra Srinivas as Vice president.  Members Karamangala M Ashwath and Shankarappa had filed nominations for the President’s post. 

While Shankarappa got 18 votes, Ashwath got 7 votes out of the total 25 votes.  For the post of Vice President, Sumithra, Kamalamma, and Pramilamma had contested. Sumithra got 18 votes, while Kamalamma got 7.
District Sub Division Officer Archana who was the election Officer, declared the results on Friday.
