Pourakarmikas who are working on contract have been cheated, said former MLA S A Ramdas here on Friday.
Addressing a press meet he said, “From the past seven years pourakarmikas have been denied benefits from the corporation. The corporation after deducting 13 per cent amount has failed to debit the same into the PF account,” he said.

According to the rules every pourakarmika has to undergo medical check up once in three months, but the corporation has failed to conduct such camps from the past seven years, he accused.
