T T K Seeks Meet With Eisenhower
Washington, Sept. 21.
Mr T T Krishnamachari, India’s Finance Minister, hopes during his United States visit to confer with President Eisenhower, when the question of US aid for India’s Second Five Year Plan probably would be discussed. The Finance Minister, after a 45-minute meeting at the White House yesterday evening with Mr Sherman Adams, the President’s Assistant, told reporters he had expressed a wish to see Mr Eisenhower.
Service Co-ops To Boost Agriculture

Prime Minister Nehru stressed here today the need for service co-operatives and joint forming in order to increase the food production in the country by employing modern techniques.

Civic Staff Strike: Bombay Stinks
Bombay, Sept. 21.
Garbage began piling up on Bombay’s streets while patients in various hospitals were asked to leave and police help was sought to feed the animals in the City zoo today as the three-day “warning” strike launched by employees of the Greater Bombay Municipal Corporation at midnight crippled the civic services. The strike was called by the Municipal Mazdoor Union.
