Applications invited

Applications have been invited from those teachers who have been serving physically challenged, for the state award.

The last date for submitting application is September 30. For more details contact: District Officer for Physically Challenged office.

Dasara sports meet

Taluk-level Dasara and rural sports meet was held at district ground recently. DDPI Mantalingachar inaugurated the sports meet.

District Youth Services and Sports department Assistant director Manjula spoke. Taluk Panchayat Officer Dr Suresh presided.

Bank donates cooker

Corporation Bank has donated cooker worth Rs one lakh to 83 schools in the district. Zilla Panchayat CEO Sundar Nayak distributed the cooker recently.

He called upon the teachers to see that there is no loopholes in the mid-day meal scheme. Bank Manager Narendra Pai said bank has opened three libraries. Lead Bank Manager B M Pamadi also spoke.

Bike jaatha today

Bajarang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishath activists will stage bike jatha as part of Datta Mala abhiyana scheduled to be held in October, on September 23. The jatha will be taken to Sri Guru Dattatrya Bababudanigiri Swamy Darga.

Now power supply

There will be no power supply between September 23 and 25 between 10 am and 5 om owing to the urgent repair works at Kalasa town feeder.
