Under the joint aegis of Dr Rajkumar Trust, Rotary Tumkur, Narayan Nethradhama and Inner Wheel Club a free eye check up and surgery camp will be held on Sunday (September 23).
The camp will be held at Basaveshwara high school grounds B H Road.Sri Shivakumar Swamiji, Sri Shivachar Swamiji will bless the occasion with their gracious presence which will start at 10 am.
H Rajendra Rai, District governor of Rotary Tumkur will inaugurate the camp. Mrs Parvathamma Rajkumar, Member of Parliment S Mallikarjunaiah, Sericulture minister Sogadu Shivanna , SP P Harishekaran, cine actors Shivarajkumar Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneet Rajkumar will also be present. Narayan Nethradhama president Dr K Bhujanga Shetty, Palyam Ramesh, Subhashini Shivakumar are the chief guests.
The inauguration programme will be presided over by the Rotary Tumkur president Shivshankar Kadevarmutt.
Free of cost
“This camp will be completely free of cost. Following the example set by Dr Raj, the trust has decided to conduct many more of these camps to encourage the common public to emulate the example set by Dr Raj. Eye donation is the greatest donation and the camp is being organised for the benefit of the poor people of the region. We call upon all of them to take advantage of this camp.” was Mr Vasan of Dr Raj trust’s request to all.
He also announced that those patients who would require corrective operation would be operated upon at the Narayan Netradhama in Bangalore. The operations will also be absolutely free.

Renowned opthamologists will take part in the camp and the office bearers of Roatry Tumkur have also called on the people to take advantage of the camp, including Rotary Tumkur president Shivashankar Kadadevaramutt , Venkatnanjappa, Vishwanath and others.
The trust has already organised similar camps in Kolar and Malur which have been an enormous success with the people of the area thronging to them. This is the third such camp that the trust is organising in Tumkur. Mr Vasan assured that like before that camp would cater to the needy and the poorest of the poor patients.
