Navaras' enthralls audience

Seven Eminent dancers performed on the theme 'Navarasa' at Bangalore Gayana Samaja. The programme was organised by B V K Sastry Memorial Committee in association with Bangalore Gayana Samaja, Karnataka Ganakala Parishath, Karnataka Nruthyakala Parishath and Shanthala Arts Academy.


Seven eminent dancers performed on the theme of `Navarasa’  at Bangalore Gayana Samaja and enthralled the audience with their performance. The audience comprising both young and old had gathered in large numbers to watch the performance.

The performers included Sridhar and Anuradha Sridhar (Bharatnatyam), Manju Bhargavi (Kuchupudi), Nandini and urali (Kathak), Usha Datar (Kathakali) and Swarupa Sen (Oddisi).

The programme was organised by B V K Sastry Memorial Committee in association with Bangalore Gayana Samaja, Karnataka Ganakala Parishath, Karnataka Nruthyakala Parishath and Shanthala Arts Academy.

Karnataka Media Academy President, V N Subba Rao spoke on the occasion and said  “The Academies should help cultivate youth interest towards Indian art.”
