It was feast to the eyes as these classic beauties of the by-gone era again chugged through the City roads giving a stiff competition to sleek modern cars.
These eleven Volkswagen Beetle cars which took part at the Beetles Rally on Sunday gave a glimpse of why is was once referred as the ‘Economy Car’. Flagged off from Cubbon Park, these classic beauties passed through MG Road, Brigade Road and the various Malls before winding up at the Palace Grounds.
The event was organised by the Beetle Club of Bangalore as curtain raiser to the Great Indian October Fest Rally which is to be held at the Palace Grounds between October 5 to 7.“ As the Beetle is an German manufactured car we have been invited to take part in the the Great Indian October Fest Rally. This event is a curtain raiser to that rally where the Beetles would be locking horns with other vintage cars,” said Narendra P Raj.
