JD (S) State president Meerajudding Patel has predicted that in the coming local body elections his party will get a clear majority as it has given very good administration and chalked out pro-people schemes and projects.
He was sharing his views after releasing the party’s election manifesto at the party office, here on Saturday and said the kind of work Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has done in the last 19 months no other government in the past had done. Hence there is a big way in favour of Kumaraswamy, he added.
The JD (S) through many programmes had become popular with the people. This will benefit it immensely in the coming local body elections, he felt.
Village stay
When the ordinary public wants to meet the Chief Minister, they have to come from far off places and wait in the Vidhana Soudha. But many a times they will not be able to meet the CM. There will be such pressures and work for the CM. But Kumaraswamy’s government is doing something different, he said.
Realising that it would be difficult for people to come from far off places to meet him, he came up with the idea of village stays. He personally saw the problems being faced by the villagers in the rural areas and many a times solved the problems immediately there itself. This has created a big impact on the minds of the voters, said Patel.
