Continuing their tirade against the national language Hindi, members of Kannada Rakshana Vedike disrupted the Hindi Week proceedings at the Canara Bank office, MG Road, on Monday.
The Canara Bank authorities had planned to host Kavi Sammelan also but as soon as the function began, Rakshana Vedike members stormed into the Bank office pushing aside the security guards.
They compelled the organisers to stop the function. They stated they will oppose Union government’s attempt to impose Hindi on Kannadigas.
