The new office bearers of Photo Journalists’ Association of Bangalore, for the year 2007-08 have been elected in the annual elections held on September 23.
The office bearers are: Md Asad (President), B N Mohan Kumar (Vice President), B V Vijayakumar (General Secretary) and K S Ganesh (Treasurer). Managing Committee members: K Ananthasubramanyam, V Sreenivasmurthy, Alfred Tennyson D, M N Vasu and Sharanubasappa.
Paperless transaction soon
A pilot project for introducing paperless transactions in offices will be launched in a week in IT and Biotech Departments in the State.
Speaking to reporters in Bangalore on Monday, after a meeting with Microsoft International President Jean Philippe Courtois, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said the project is aimed at better governance, faster and error-free transaction and also to ensure that people are not put to any inconvenience. The project will be extended to all departments gradually, he added.
Engg students for world auto meet
Team Sir MVIT, a group of eight students from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, will participate in an international competition on design and development of an automotive vehicle on October 13 and 14.
The competition Mini Baja 2007 is organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA at the University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa. The college is the only participant from Karnataka.
