Primary Co-operative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank here has registered Rs 13 lakh profit for the year 2005-06.
The bank had disbursed Rs 2.31 crore loans and recorded 65.48 per cent returns. Thus it has overcome its loss of Rs 1.02 crore.
In the year 2006-07, the bank has given Rs 3.01 crore loans, while Rs 1 crore has already been returned, informed the bank president K N Rudrappa Gowda. Speaking to press persons on Monday, he said due to the bank’s assistance to rubber growers for the past 20 years, there has been a business of over Rs 20 crore every year.
The bank’s Krishi Bhavana is being given for public functions. The field office of Rubber Board is located in the bank premises, for the convenience of the growers, he said.
He congratulated Balemane H M Nataraj and Shanthakumar for their service. Bank’s Secretary H R Chandrashekhar was present.
