Pakistan Accepts Jarring Report
New York, Sept. 24.
Mr Feroz Khan Noon, the Pakistan Foreign Minister, said today that his Government accepted every suggestion for a peaceful solution of the Kashmir question made by the Security Council’s special emissary, Mr Gunnar Jarring, earlier this year.
It could, therefore, he concluded, he said, that Mr Jarring’s suggestions were “ unacceptable to one party alone, and that party was India.”
T T K’s Appeal For Aid
Washington, Sept. 24.
The Indian Finance Minister, Mr T T Krishnamachari, said today that India was seeking development with stability.
Mr Krishnamachari, addressing the joint meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, expressed confidence that India would be able to enlist the support of its people for such additional measures as might be required to augment internal resources in carrying out the Second Five Year Plan.

Pass Press Bills After Consulting Council

Bangalore, Sept. 24.
Mr Justice A N Grover said here today that the Press Council of India should be consulted before any legislation affecting the press was introduced either by the Centre or by the State Governments. The council had the right to be consulted as it was a statutory body, he said. Mr Grover, Chairman of the Press council was talking to reporters here.
