Dam full after 17 years
DH News Service, Hosanagara:
After a gap of 17 years, Mani dam is full again following heavy rain in the catchment areas.

Water was released from all the gates of the Dam on Sunday night.

People living on the banks of the Varahi river downstream the dam in Kundapur taluk in Udupi district have been asked to move to safer places.

The maximum level of the reservoir is 594.36 cusec.

Inflow was 2,565 cusec while outflow was maintained at 1,181 cusec, said the superintendent engineer Rajamudi.
