Global smartphone provider Palm Inc, on Tuesday, introduced its new high-end model in India in partnership with Bharti Airtel.
The smartphone — Palm Treo 750 — comes with a price tag of Rs 26,990 and would allow users to surf web and access and send their emails.
The phone also comes bundled with free unlimited data usage for a month and the Palm wireless keyboard with Bluetooth technology.
“India is an important market for Palm and Treo. Smartphones are well poised to meet the growing demand by Indian consumers,” Palm Inc Head Business South Asia Sharon Ee said.
Exclusive tie-up
The smartphone equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0 of Microsoft, would be available to Airtel customers in four metros, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderbad, Jaipur, Pune and Chandigarh.
The handset will come bundled for a limited time with a month of free unlimited data usage and the Palm wireless keyboard with Bluetooth technology worth Rs 5,800. While the high-end handset will be available to only Airtel customers through an exclusive arrangement, it would later be available to users of other services too.
