Angry family members and sympathisers of a four-year-old girl on Tuesday demanded police action against the erring doctors for allegedly removing a kidney that led to her death the previous night.

Sonia Dubey, a resident of Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh was undergoing treatment for a tumour in her belly at the Government Medical College here.

Parents found out about her missing kidney only after she was admitted to the nursing home.

“The doctors should be punished for killing my child,” Shridhar Dubey, father of the girl said.

The doctors who operated upon the girl said that the kidney had to be removed to save the child from death at that time.
