A couple and their son were found dead at a posh hospital in Kochi in the wee hours of Tuesday in a suspected case of suicide pact.
K V Dasan, 52, wife Kamala, 42, from Thrithala in Thrissur district and their 13-year-old son Jeslin Das appeared to have consumed a pesticide to commit suicide in their hospital room.
Authorities of the Lakeshore Hospital said that the family may have taken the extreme step on finding that the condition of their son, Jeslin Das, who was under treatment for cancer had worsened.
Nurses who had attended on the boy at 1.00 am sensed a foul smell from their room. When they broke open the room, the three were found dead.
Pesticide was apparently injected into apples and consumed by the three.
