The Revenue Department on Tuesday amassed Rs 6.38 crore from six survey numbers, measuring 21 acres and 30 guntas, in the Bangalore North (Additional) and South taluks.
A total of 46 acres and eight guntas of land was expected to be auctioned on Tuesday.
Re-auction?
Only three survey numbers in Sriramanahalli and Shivakote in Bangalore North (Additional) fetched prices higher than the prescribed government rate: 150 per cent of the guidance value in the area. This means that three of the six survey numbers that were auctioned on Tuesday are likely to be re-auctioned.
A four acre 38 gunta survey number in Shivakote was the big catch of the day, fetching Rs 1.71 crore (230.3 per cent of the guidance value in the area). A 10 acre 19 gunta survey number in Shivakote fetched Rs 3.22 crore (204.93 per cent of the guidance value). However, a 13 acre 38 gunta site in Shivakote could not be auctioned because there was no response from the bidders.
The auctions will continue on September 27 at 11 am at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore (Urban) District on K G Road. For details, call 22221425/ 22221430.
