Enjoyment and achievement should constitute the goals you seek to fulfil while studying in a university” said Sanjay Vir Singh, Inspector General of Police and Registrar of Bangalore University (BU), addressing a gathering of undergraduate students at Acharya Institutes.
Singh was speaking at a function, which was organised by Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies (AIGS), which is affiliated to BU, to celebrate its Fresher’s day. The function also marked the inauguration of its academic activities (2007-2008).
Offering his advice to the students, the Registrar called on the students to foster a spirit of “concentration, patience and perseverance” to realise their academic objectives.
He added that the students were fortunate to study in Bangalore – a city which is a dynamic part of “a changing India and a changing technology,” and that is blessed with a wonderful climate.
C Vijayakumar, Director of HR and International Affiliations at Acharya, referred, in his speech, to the drastic redefinition of many concepts in today’s world.
He elaborated that in the current global context, it is not the “slow and steady,” but the “fast and consistent” individuals who achieve success.
