Once the elections are over, I would complete the developmental works that have been started in Kolar, said legislator K Srinivasa Gowda.
Various developmental works were started in between 1994 and 2007, he informed at a press meet that was held at his residence on Thursday.
Asphalting of roads, development of parks in the city, construction of road to the Kolar hill, drainage will be the priority among the various developmental works. Also, in the city greater thrust will be laid on the development of roads and the creation of drainage system, he added.
The S M Krishna government had sanctioned the construction of the underground drainage system. As a result the construction of drainage systems is being carried out at various places in the city, added Mr Srinivasa Gowda.
Action
Moreover, ambulance arrangement has been made for the SNR Hospital. Also, stringent action will be initiated against those who have encroached upon the burial ground at Rahmat Nagar, he observed.
At present in SNR Hospital there are only 401 beds. Thus, an action plan to add 500 more beds has been etched. In addition to this, inorder to facilitate the residents of Rahmat Nagar a primary health care centre has been started, informed Mr Srinivasa Gowda.
Yaragolu
Inorder to meet the drinking water needs of the residents of Kolar, the Yaragolu Scheme will be acted upon. For the realisation of this scheme the Central government has already sanctioned Rs 80 crore and the State government has sanctioned 160 crore. After this scheme is materialised the drinking water problem of the people of Kolar will be resolved, added Mr Srinivasa Gowda.
Thus, there are two set of options in front of the people; the first being developmental works and the second is money. The voters should, thus, make the right choice, observed Mr Srinivasa Gowda.
