Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and other convicts, out on bail on Thursday, got further relief when the designated TADA court communicated to the actor’s counsel that copies of the judgement will be delayed.
Dutt did not attend the court on Thursday and the information was conveyed to the actor’s lawyer Farhana Shah. The court was scheduled to hand over copies of the judgement to the actor and other convicts, but the order, running into thousand of pages, is not yet ready. The court will first hand over copies of the judgement to the convicts, including Dutt.
After they receive the copies of the judgement, they can move the Supreme Court and file for regular bail or file an appeal against their conviction, sources said.
