No Janata Darshan
There will be no janata darshan by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at Krishna, his official residence, on Saturday. The Chief Minister will be on official tour on the day.
Special train exhibition
Azadi Express, the train-based mobile exhibition on the theme of First War of Independence, will be flagged off from New Delhi on Friday September 28. The train will arrive at Mangalore on December 27, at Cantonment, Bangalore on January 27, 2008 and at Mysore on January 28, 2008.

Contributions sought
Akhil Karnataka Prani Daya Sangha on Thursday appealed to the public to contribute generously for flood relief in North Karnataka.
Talking to the mediapersons, General Secretary of Sangha, Chandana Gowdara, said that the Sangha has set up temporary flood relief camps in Alur in Gadag district and has set a target to distribute food, blankets, clothes and medicines for the flood affected people and fodder for their cattle.
