MG Road barricade
Bangalore Metro Rail corporation will start barricading M G Road on Saturday from Dickenson Road Junction (Webbs Petrol Station) till Trinity Circle occupying 4.75 metres on either side of existing median. The road will become narrow having only one or two lanes on the Southern side, said a release from BMRCL MD.
No power tomorrow
There will be no power supply on Sunday between 10 am and 3 pm in Jigni-Link Road, M/S Biocon Pvt Ltd, Hebbagodi, Veerasandra Village, Veerasandra Industrial Area, Huskur Gate, Huskur, Singena Agrahara, Kaggalipura, Chokkasandra, Harehalli, Estate Club, Thirupalya and surrounding villages.
Screening of ‘Cyanide’
‘Cine Maatu’, a group of movie lovers, is holding the screening of State award-winning film ‘Cyanide’ at K V Subbanna theatre, Teachers’ Colony on September 30. The screening will be followed by a discussion on the movie. Call 92425-23523.
Centre for AIDS
In order to create awareness, improve knowledge and understanding of AIDS infection and STD, integrated counselling and testing centre was inaugurated at the Rail Wheel Factory Hospital, Yelahanka.
After inaugurating the centre, GM B B Modgil said this will help create a supporting environment and rehabilitation for the HIV infected persons. This centre will also offer voluntary HIV counselling and testing for individuals.
Railway trial run
The Commissioner of Railway Safety will be conducting a trial run on the newly laid Yeshwanthpur-Golahalli double line on Bangalore-Tumkur section on Saturday. The public are cautioned not to trespass the railway track as the special train will be run at maximum speed 100 KMPH, said a release from South Western Railway Regular train services will be introduced after the trial.
