Fr Muller Medical College will launch its Health Card scheme at a function to be held on October 1 at 11 am.
The programme to be held at Fr Muller Academy Hall will witness the inauguration of Blood Donors’ Club, Allied Health Sciences batch of 2007-08 and releasing of various medical books.
Informing this to reporters here on Thursday, Fr Muller Medical College Administrator Fr Denis D’Sa and Dean Dr B Sanjeev Rai said the Health Card was intended to provide comprehensive, quality healthcare in a compassionate, convenient and cost effective manner to the benefits of the people at large.
The scheme provides most of the treatments and services available in the hospital including drugs at concessional rates in order to reduce the burden of the patients, they said.
Deputy Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao and District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr H Jagannath will be the guests, while FMCI Director Fr Patrick Rodrigues will preside, they informed.
