Pensioners’ meet tomorrow

Tumkur K E B Pensioners’ Association’s 20th annual general body meeting will be held on Sunday in the association’s community hall nearby ESI Hospital in Bangalore.

D Timmappa, director of the central association has urged the members to participate in the meeting. Meeting is at 10am.

Limerick writer to be feted

Kavitakrishna fans association is felicitating award winning poet Gangadhar Kodli on Sunday  at its premises in Kyatsandra. Recently, Gangadhar Kodli president of district Chutuku Sahitya parishat was conferred the Shikshanika Sadhana Prashasti by Economical Growth Societies of India in New Delhi.  K B Jayanna will inaugurate the function and Akshaya Venkatesh will honour Kodli. Ugama Srinivas and B H Ramkumari will be the chief guests.

T R H Prakash will donate a book on this occasion and writer Kavita Krishna will preside over the function.

Eye check-up camp

Suryanjaneya Charitable Trust of Kolala hobli in Tumkur district is organising a free eye check-up camp in Suryapura on Sunday from 8am to 2pm.

The camp is held in collaboration with Bangalore’s Narayana Netralaya. Free operation will be done for needy people by Narayana Netralaya in Bangalore.
