Southern Blues hold CIL
Southern Blues held Controllerate of Inspection Electronics to a goalless draw in the BDFA’ Super Division football league at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Friday.
Southern Blues thus took their points tally to four from four games. CIL, who have struggled this season, have just two points from six matches.
In ‘A’ Division, Rail Wheel Factory defeated Bangalore United Football Club 4-1. Prakash (4th and 82nd), Satish (24th) , Naveen Babu (89th) scored for RWF. Chetan (58th) pulled one back for BUFC. On Saturday, MEG will play DYSH in Super Division while Gajanana will clash with SWRI in ‘A’ Division.
Bhaskar moves into title round
B Bhaskar entered the final of the Senior state-ranking billiards tournament, defeating D Raj Kumar 4-0 on Friday at the Karnataka State Billiards Association hall. Bhaskar won 151-16, 152, 84, 150-107, 150-26.
In the women’s semifinal league, Uma Nagaraj beat Shilpa S 75-22, 74-26, 34-37, 71-04 while Chitra M got past Indira Gowda 59-01, 69-32, 63-33
Pruthvi stars in Presidency win
Pruthvi Ramesh scored 66 to help Presidency crush SSMRU College by 124 runs in the inter-collegiate cricket tournament on Friday.
