Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike, on Friday, staged a dharna in front of Town Hall opposing transfer of power to the BJP. The Vedike demanded that the JD(S) should go for fresh elections in stead of handing over power to the BJP.

Convener of the Vedike K L Ashok said that since the JD(S)-BJP coalition came into power communal harmony in the State has been disturbed. Particularly in Dakshina Kannada two innocents died in the violence.

If the BJP comes to power the party would make efforts to create communal tension over Bababudangiri issue.
