MLC Chandrashekhar Kambar, on Saturday, said that he will protest against the State government’s understanding with US based Microsoft to set up paper-less offices in Karnataka.
Speaking at the Suvarna Karnataka celebrations organised by the All Kannada Fans International Forum in Bangalore on Saturday, Mr Kambar said handing over a programme which involves secret documents of the State government, to a foreign company is not acceptable. Moreover the company will not let give the source code of the software. That may lead to serious problem in future.
Mr Kambar said that he had met 19 ministers and written 200 letters to officers requesting for development of Kuvempu Kannada Software.
But so far, no progress has been made.
Former MP Dr Sarojini Mahishi, singer Shimoga Subbanna and others were felicitated on the occasion.
