Speaking to media persons, Mr Revanna said total cost of 28 sub-stations was estimated around Rs 2861 crore. Of these, while 10 sub-stations will be 220 kv stations, the remaining 18 will be 66/11 kv sub-stations. “All these sub-stations have been planned keeping the future needs of the City during next 15-20 years”, he added.
On the same occasion, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate six sub-stations which are ready, Mr Revanna added. Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is also scheduled to participate in the function. Detailing the achievements of the government, Mr Revanna said 224 sub-stations have been set up in the last three years as against setting up of 184 substations during 1999-2004.
