Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Mr Singh felt that the chief minister should have dropped the minister from the cabinet for levelling such charges. “The chief minister’s failure to take action shows that he has become helpless”, he remarked.

 Mr Singh was of the view that if the chief minister could not drop Mr Sriramulu from cabinet, then chief minister himself should have tendered his resignation. “It’s shameful that still Mr Kumaraswamy is clinging to power. Never in my life I have seen such a helpless chief minister”, he commented.

Mr Singh criticised Assembly Speaker Krishna for dragging his feet on initiating action against JD(S) legislators.
