City rocks to music
Bangalore, dhns:

Chennai bands Panatella and Afterburn and Bangalore bands Ceasars Palace and Synaps rocked a small, but dedicated crowd of rockers as part of the Independence Rock, at the Palace Grounds, on Sunday.

The highlight of the night was performance by professional bands Pin Drop Violence (PDV) and Parikrama. PDV which is a hard core “nu-metal” band played some original numbers and a cover version of American metal band “Lamb of God.”

With over 200 concerts and 1,000 performances, Parikrama is perhaps the most popular Indian rock band and they rocked the crowd as ever before.

Independence Rock, which has been rocking Mumbai for the past 21 years is making its appearance in Bangalore (besides Delhi) for the first time. Bangalore’s Ceasers Palace and Chennai’s Afterburn have been adjudged as bands which will play at the national finals at the Chitrakoot Grounds in Mumbai on September 8 and 9.
The crowds loomed large in the evening, but it did not deter a motley crowd of die-hard rock  fans from making a detour to the Palace Grounds.

Mercifully, it did not rain throughout the concert and to think that “...And it rained” is one of the most popular songs of Parikrama.
