It’s enthralling to see the efforts to give the right direction to AIDS-affected children’s lives, said Health Minister R Ashok, after the soft launch of ‘Needzz Special School’ for AIDS- affected Children at Infant Jesus Home for Children, on Sunday.
“I’m always there to give support,” Ashok added. With this launch, Needzz has started raising funds and working towards starting the school very soon, said Simran, Needzz President.
Mother Willgerd of Infant Jesus from Germany appreciated the efforts of 14 women from different walks of life who got together for the cause of setting up a school for children living with AIDS.
All 14 members of Needzz wore white saris with red blouses as a symbol of AIDS awareness.
The School has 52 AIDS-affected children. “We are trying to help the children get the best vision for the little life they are left with,” said Simran. It’s just a start; the objective of Needzz School is to cater not only to AIDS- affected cater, but all unprivileged children.
