Deputy Commissioner S R Umashanker has objected to 42,000 beneficiaries who are included in the hutless list in the taluk plan. He was addressing after visiting the town after inspecting the hutless beneficiaries list and said that the responsibility of selecting the beneficiaries lie with the officials.

This is a state-level experimental programme. The aim should be achieve the implementation target and selecting the beneficiaries should become a model for the implementation in other taluks. In this direction the homeless list should be checked, he said.

ZP CEO Manojkumar Meena said the list was very big and in order to check that ineligible people had creeped into the list and to keep it transparent, an official team had been formed and along with the officers a taluk level official was also appointed.
