Council chairman to visit
Tumkur, dhns: Legislative Council chairman B K Chandrashekar will visit Tumkur on Monday to inaugurate the first semester BE classes of Siddartha Engineering college, said the institution joint secretary and legislator Dr G Parameshwar.
After the inaugration and delivering the keynote address, he would return to Bangalore in the afternoon. In another inauguration of first semester BE classes in Sridevi Engineering college, renowned scientist Dr K Subramanian will inaugurate, said the institution chief Dr M R Hulinayakar.
Population Day
The district administration has organised a World Population Day on Monday. Zilla Panchayat president Narisimappa will inaugurate the programme at Aruna College of Nursing. ZP CEO Manojkumar Meena, and. DC S R Umashanker will preside.
Border festival
Deputy commissioner S R Umashanker has said that the border festrival of the district will be held in Madugiri on October 6 and 7. He was speaking after presiding over the border festival meeting and said the inauguration will be on Oct 6.
