Free legal awareness and people’s court programme was held on Saturday under the aeiges of Legal services authority advocates association and Pragathi rural bank in KGF.
A V Chandrashekhar of principal district and sessions court Judge after inaugurating the function, said that the people’s courts are very useful and practical in today’s scenario as the cases cannot be prolonged for a more period of time.
Judge Chandrashekhar also said that the legal services authority is functioning at the service of society. As many as 144 cases belonging to Pragathi rural bank and 27 cases of the public were resolved.
Judges G K Gokhale, M Shivaram, Santhosh Kumar Shetty, Mohammad Khan, Pathan, Pragathi rural bank president N Ramesh, senior manager of the regional branch K M Hiremutt, Advocates association president S N Rajagopal Gowda and others were present.
