Caught Napping
New Delhi, Sept 2

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi today took everyone by surprise while effecting a major reshuffle-cum-expansion of her council of ministers. The national press corps were caught napping.

None knew about the reshuffle till an hour before the swearing-in of the new entrants by President Zail Singh at Rashtrapathi Bhavan today.

Correspondents and photographers who rushed to Rashtrapati Bhavan had to run from pillar to post to get the names of the new entrants and the changes in the portfolios of the senior Cabinet Ministers.
